Acoustic Stage 2018
Our Acoustic Stage is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the work of exceptionally talented musicians from near and far.
The Acoustic Stage will be hosted this year by the amazing Corvus!
Programme
13:30 - Jake Thomas
Jake has had a passion for music all of his life. He plays a finger-picking folk-style guitar, and is inspired by the 60's and early 70's acoustic blues/folk legends.
This self-taught guitarist writes and performs his own compositions along with covers from the greats and his favourite traditional folk songs.
He is also a member of Cranesfield Bardic Arts and will also be storytelling under the Green Man Tree later in the day.
14:15 - Morrigan's Fire
Morrigan's Fire play woodland folk! A dark & mysterious, original style of folk music. They've just released a five-track CD 'Into The Wilds', so if you love their music at the festival, be sure to check it out! You can also find them on Facebook.
15:00 - Cenris
Cenris is a Celtic folk rock artist from Bristol, who combines contemporary folk with traditional foot-stomping songs to create a unique sound which is both ambient and jovial. Whether you like to laugh, cry, dance, or clap there is sure to be something for you in the songs.
Primarily a solo acoustic artist, Cenris does sometimes combine violin, flute and drums into live performances to create a different atmosphere
15:45 - Ben Mark Smith
Ben Mark Smith is an acoustic singer-songwriter from the UK, who combines beautiful finger-picked melodies with tales of family, friends, and loss, often bringing his audience to tears (in a positive way), but always leaving them entertained.
During his travels, Ben has performed at an eclectic range of events, for instance at festivals such as Kimberley Jam and Dot to Dot, in an all-guitar orchestra alongside acclaimed guitarist Adrian Utley (Portishead), and at many a charity gig. No matter what the size of the event, Ben brings a passionate and authentic feel to every performance, connecting with his crowd through the words in his songs (and the terrible jokes in-between).
16:30 - Corvus
Corvus are an acoustic duo with neo-folk tendencies and a love of the earth, who write memorable, meaningful & melodic songs. They play at a variety of events up and down the country, and write songs from the heart that explore their roots.
