The Aftershow Party!

It's not over after the festival...

This year's aftershow party will be held at The Maze, only a short walk from the arboretum.

Martin Jackson

Martin Jackson is a solo acoustic singer and guitarist based in Nottingham. Although a proficient songwriter, Martin takes delight in entertaining people with cover songs as part of making an event even more special through the performance of live music.

Stemming from his diverse music taste, Martin prides himself on being highly adaptable. His soaring vocal and creative guitar arrangements cover a wide range of styles – he regularly performs sets of well known rock, pop, indie, blues, jazz, soul and folk songs, all depending on the type of event. Capable of laidback crooning, cheeky jazz flourishes, upbeat party vibes or full throttle rock n roll – Martin delivers the goods, and all performed with sincerity and passion.

Martin is at all times a professional, and this comes from years of tireless experience gigging in both entertainment contexts and in performing original music. Previous endeavours have taken him onto the Pepsi Max stage at the prestigious Download Festival, as well as YNot Festival and MacmillanFest. Notable artists he has performed alongside include Reef, TesseracT, Jim Bob, Breed 77, Spear of Destiny and OPM. He has also made appearances in Classic Rock, Rocksound, Kerrang and Metalhammer magazines with regards to his role as lead singer for Nottingham rock band Emperor Chung.

Lycan are a Nottinghamshire based metal band. After a bit of a shuffle around since the release of the debut album Dark Days in 2009, with the addition of Gods to Fall riff-meister Paul Ryan shredding up the stage, and ex Sonacide frontman Aidan Roker adopting vocal duties, Lycan have a brand new sound and whole new game plan…GET READY!

And headlining are...

Cadence Noir

Gothic Folk’N’Rollers CADENCE NOIR are described as having a 'metal attitude' towards their blusey riffs so it's no wonder that they work well with any genre as seen by Rock and Metal festival appearances and sharing the bills with distinctly heavier than Heavy Metal bands and Classic Rock Aficionados. Cadence Noir's unique blend of foot stompin' rock and roll with folk roots is not to be missed when they hit stage!

From humble beginnings in 2010 as an acoustic duo jamming around the midlands, Cadence Noir have developed musically into an all-encompassing 4 piece of folk goth acoustic madness. 2014 saw their first major festival appearances (including the Jägermeister stage at Bloodstock), debut single 'SPARK' and a Self-released digital EP. 2015 continued with the band’s first headline UK and European tours with the added bonus of their 2nd single 'MY PLACE'. 2016 saw the bands 2nd EP entitled ‘THE PATH’ and continue to grow musically. The first half of 2017 has seen Cadence Noir playing festivals with the 3rd single 'A RECKLESS ENDEAVOUR' and the highly anticipated (especially by the band) anthem '#FFBB'.
