Stage 2016

Get rocking with LIVE music!

The Stage is always at the heart of the Pagan Pride UK festival. Our day begins there with the opening blessing at midday and ends there with our rocking headliners! People come from all over the UK to enjoy the fantastic music, LIVE in the fresh air and for free! In the past we've hosted amazing bands like international performers Inkubus Sukubus and Cadence Noir- who will be there this year?

Programme

12:30 - Scriptures

Scriptures are a Nottinghamshire-based band who 'pave the way on limitations set by their own consciousness', aiming to write better songs and produce engaging music. They are an Art Rock outfit comprising of musicians who have graced festivals stages & toured Europe, who are Future Sound of Nottingham 2012 Finalists and who hold endorsements with Faith Guitars. They recently rocked out at Wellowfest and we're thrilled to host them at this year's festival.

13:30 - Ruth Graelish

Head to the stage to catch Ruth's beautiful traditional Celtic folk music. Her haunting, even  etheral voice is makes her a welcome regular on Nottingham's open mic scene.

Find her on Facebook.

Or listen to her music at Bandcamp!

14:30 - Roxircle

ROxIRcLE are an alternative progressive rock band based in the Narnia-twinned town of Totnes, Devon. The stunning, Kate Bush-inspired vocals of Deanna Royle are backed up with an intricate fusion of guitar riffs from David Morris; tight and punchy bass`n` drums from Dave Waters and Martin Garside; and soaring keyboards from Peter Jones.

With lyrics telling tales of the darker side of life and the mysteries of Mother Earth, their live set contains original music from the three studio albums they`ve released to date – “Night of the Vampire”, “Obsession” and “This Deadly Game”. All are available from as downloads or CDs from their official website.

ROxIRcLE are also on Facebook.

And you can listen to their music on YouTube.

15:45 - Leafblade

Leafblade are a progressive rock three-piece hailing from Liverpool, pounding out a rich blending of powerful evocations through progressive and Celtic metal, gripping rock anthems and hauntingly acoustic refrains.

Playing together for a decade or more, Leafblade have already plied their wares across numerous countries, playing festivals, mountain venues, anywhere that offers an electricity supply. Leafblade have recently toured the medieval castles of Poland, and are set to return for winter tours once more in the region and elsewhere in Europe.

17:00 - Inkubus Sukkubus

Inkubus Sukkubus need no introduction! They've traveled the world with their distinctive brand of Gothic Pagan folk rock, from Mexico to Russia, Australia to the USA, Scandinavia to Europe, and they'll be bringing it to you on August 7th at Pagan Pride UK 2016 Festival!

In exciting news, the band released their new album, Barrow Wake, on the 20th of June, and you'll have the chance to buy a copy and get it signed on the day.

Barrow Wake is a return to Inkubus Sukkubus's dark folklore roots, and explores both general British mythology, and some peculiarly Gloucestershire dark tales in songs like Forest Hill and Witch of Berkeley.
